Sweet Dreams
62For every morning that I wake, there is always a memory of a loss. A loss of a dream, an idea, a concept, a feeling. Finally, I have captured one such loss and encapsulated it in words.
A new dawn has broken, oh where has the starry night gone?
Away sweet dreams are swept, only faded memories kept
Words you spoke, are evaporating like tendrils of smoke
Fingers interlaced, holding our hands lovingly in place
Eyes so gentle and kind, quietly reside in my mind
Bodies embraced tight in hold, leaving desires untold
Fire shoots to my tips, imprints of kisses on my lips
Conscience begins to tug, bodies now only in a hug
Awareness taking light, how I wish it were still last night
Away sweet dreams are swept, only faded memories kept
A new dawn has broken, oh where has the starry night gone?

"words you spoke, are evaporating like tendrils of smoke"
"oh where has the starry night gone"
The present fades so swiftly into the past, some moments perish without regret. Others with sweet sorrow for their passing always to be cherished.
I am moved by your depth.
Very nice. Have you read any of your poetry in public? It is very good.
This is mesmerizing. I love it!

I take it your favorite invention is the escalator, too?
"I quit following my dreams--I just asked them where they were going and told them I'd meet up with them later."-Mitch Hedberg
I love this, though...
